This week marks eight years of having a mariner's license. These pictures are from my first 3rd mate gig, aboard a grain ship. I made four trips through the Canal and made port in NOLA (twice), Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Houston in 75 days. Before coming to Japan I read The Wholehearted Way which was Sawaki Roshi’s commentary On Eihei Dogen’s Bendowa. While visiting Sengaku-ji I realized this was one of the temples he practiced Zazen in. So very honored to come to this space and find a personal connection. The viewpoint is one of the attractions on the island and looks along the beautiful coast of Nusa Penida. It’s not far from the famous Atuh Beach and it could be a good idea to combine these two spots into one day! The island is quite big and it can take over an hour to cruise from one side to another depending on where your accommodation is located. Сочинская экспедиция, день 1 🏔 ⠀ Плюс первый: из -15 в +15 - уже очень хорошо! А поскольку у нас нынче год гор, то вот: хвалёные аж самим Варламовым Роза Хутор, популярные Горки Город и Красная поляна в кольце гор. Так сказать, со всех сторон посмотреть: и с грузинской, и с российской. И первая выигрывает с боооольшим отрывом (ага-ага!). А ещё меня на этих ваших подъёмниках укачивает 😝 ⠀ Самое лучшее из того, что здесь есть - это горы. Не Казбек, но тоже очень высоко - подняться можно на высоту ~2,5 тысячи метров. Даже если не катать, сие развлечение язык не повернётся назвать бюджетным: 2600 за двоих «простопосмотрителей вниз». Грузия-Россия: 1:0 😱 ⠀ А ещё тут всё какое-то полюбленное жизнью (причём не единожды), неуютное: потёки ржавчины на зданиях, вывороченная с корнем плитка в пешеходной зоне, грязные тропинки-дорожки, какие-то шаромыжники на каждом углу, которые предлагают сомнительное. Музыка - как из светлого сна деревенской тусовщицы (я уже послушала сегодня Лободу, Бузову, эту, знак Водолея, и группу «Рефлекс», внезапно!). Основная потеря потерь заключается в том, что свежий горный воздух, предположительно, украл Гринч вместе с Рождеством: тут повсеместно пахнет исключительно выхлопными газами. Ааааа! 😰 ⠀ На самом деле от окружающей красоты, даже приправленной какой-то явной ху₽той, дух захватывает. Начинаю сомневаться, что море люблю больше 😄 или это уральское о себе даёт знать? Обещаю вслух рассказов длинных много-много, особенно в сторис. Чувствую, поездка будет богатой на ржаку 😂

Знаменитый Большой Будда ⠀ До него мы добирались самостоятельно, на байках, хотя его посещение и было предусмотрено бесплатной экскурсией от туроператора. Мы от таких подарков отказались 😉 ⠀ На территории ещё продолжаются строительные работы, что не удивительно, т.к комплекс возводится только лишь на деньги от пожертвований. ⠀ Совет-приезжайте к закату,там такой вид открывается😍 а мы были в самую жару🤦🏼‍♀️ И именно к Будде не прокладывайте дорогу через maps.me ,поведёт меня по бездорожью. After spending the whole day go on a very tough hike to Mirador Torres del Paine, the next day I joined a full day tour to the national park, which was more relax as we spent most of our time on a bus instead of walking. The ticket to the park was quite pricey for foreigners but valid for three consecutive days. Of course doing the day tour did not do justice to the park as it was huge. If you have time and enjoy outdoors so much, you might want to consider to multiple day trekking. For me who had only limited time and was really an indoor kid, I had to satisfy myself with the day trip tour. It was a very enjoyable tour as there were several stops before entering the park and within the park to take some pictures or just enjoy the views. We also did a short hike to see the waterfall and a two-hours break to enjoy lunch and did some walking around Lake Grey. This particular spot was around Lago Pehoe where we could see the above one of the first hotels in Torres del Paine, Hosteria Pehoe. ((Career talk)) Honestly, what makes me the happiest? This. Exactly what i’m doing with my career that makes me feel 💯! Theres something about doing your job everyday, you have to enjoy what you do to some level, and it’s for most of your life of 5 days a week/maybe more🤷🏼‍♀️You feel too comfortable or unhappy, wrong job field, other employees/bad bosses; Remember something, everyone starts somewhere. I remember assisting for 12+ hr days in NYC with under $5 pay an hour and I was living in the West Village at the time (talk about tough man!)🌃 Trust me when I say my career path has not been an easy one but after almost a decade, its coming together and growing rapidly. If you do your “job” everyday, why not enjoy what you are doing? Stop in your steps right now and ask, am I doing what I love? If not, go out there and change that💕
